Rufus and his uncle Alpha, both from Côte d'Ivoire, run an ageing hotel in the hinterland around Perpignan. At the beginning of the summer, Alpha returns to Côte d'Ivoire to sell some family land to support his business in France, before handing it over to his nephew. In the meantime, Rufus looks after the hotel with his girlfriend Monika, but Alpha's journey to his homeland turns his plans upside-down…
Clémentine Delbecq
Clémentine Delbecq made her first short film as part of her studies in philosophy and dance. She made her second film in Iceland, and a third with the G.R.E.C., in association with the University of Corte in Corsica. Her many visits to the Côte d'Ivoire over the years inspired the story of Fraya, her first professionally produced short.
