In the 1950s at night on the roads of Portugal, three passengers talk about the identities of a group of men who were captured and executed towards the end of the Spanish civil war. Three points of view that blend into a statement revealing the social identity and ideological sensitivities of each one.
Abi Feijó's third short, Os Salteadores (The Outlaws) was selected for Critics' Week in Cannes and examines a dark period in Portuguese history. The story takes the form of a crime film comparing different points of view. “By our definition, this animation is a short, artistic auteur film. It is the personal work of a single artist. I am seeking my cultural roots. We are not trying to do the same thing as the Americans. They do what they do very well. However, they don't know how to do what we do. We place a great deal of importance on the care given to a film. To the quality.” (Abi Feijó, interviewed by Colette Khalaf)
