Born in 1988 in Zagreb, Sonja Tarokić is studying for a Masters in Film Directing at the Academy of Dramatic Arts, also is a student of literature at the Faculty of Philosophy. She is the author of several short films, a documentary Puppet as... (2008), and fiction films Red (2009), Deaf (2010), Smart Girls (2010, co-author Hana Jušić), You Bitch! (2011) and a recently completed graduation film I'm a Self-Made Woman.
