Andreas Hykade was born in Germany in 1968. Between 1988 and 1991, he studied Graphic Arts and Design at the Fine Arts Academy of stuttgart before entering the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg where he studied Animation until 1995. Andreas Hykade is currently directing animation films for an independent studio in Stuttgart. "Wir lebten im Gras" is his graduation film.
