Born in 1970, he studied Ethnology and the Sociology of Culture at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. During his studies he made adverts and magazine programmes for radio. In 1995 he published a book entitled "The Land of White Doves" based on his travel notes made during the Bosnian war. He makes his living as a translator. He was a resident at the Angers Workshops in 2006 with his feature project Lara. Nikoli Nisva šla v Benetke is his first feature.
