Born in 1969 in Chisinau, Republic of Moldavia, Dumitru Grosei obtained his Film Directing Diploma in 2000. He has already directed three other school films : Reserved (1996), Voila la colonisation (1997), and Eine Kleine Nachtgeschichte (1997).
