Based on Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes by where Dahl humorously re-interprets and subverts 6 traditional fairy tales. The book was published in 1982, and Martin Pope later bought the adaptation rights for his company Magic Light Pictures (which also produced The Gruffalo). But how do you go about adapting a work like this with stories that are not all the same length and that don't have the same tone? “Everything started with the book cover. There is this wonderful illustration by Quentin Blake where a wolf is reading a story to two young children.
