2002 Fiction 17 min
The yearning room explores the idea of love as a cultural institution in which, our level of existence is measured in terms of the desire we provoke in others. In the absence of the other, we wait... Waiting then becomes erotic, as we imagine the feeling of wholeness promised by the expected union. The film's narration is constructed around a young girl who is waiting: her thoughts wander, imagining various scenarios in which she hopes to find love and to satisfy her desires.
