La Guerre des centimes

This film explores the lives of two delivery riders in Paris in the time it takes to make a delivery. Omar and Marwen are both foreigners and came to France to pursue their dreams only to find themselves pedalling their bikes to survive. Through this intimate double portrait, we discover the everyday life of many young students, fighting for a more dignified life.

Nadèr S. Ayach obtained a Bachelor's degree in screenwriting and film directing from the University of Tunis. He then left his home country for France to continue his studies at the Sorbonne and after two years obtained a Master's degree in film research. In order to finance his stay, he got a job as a bike courier in Paris. Today, he is a PhD student and is continuing to direct films. La Guerre des centimes (The War of Cents) is his first short film.
