The Sickie
Rupert Jones
When events at work prove too stressful for Douglas Knott, a diligent and extremely busy office manager, he decides to throw a sickie. Unfortunately, his attemps to enjoy a day off are soon sabotaged by the insidious voice of his conscience.

After graduating from Edinburgh College of Art, Rupert Jones moved to London and founded Ear Drum Music, writing music for various independent and touring theatre companie. Rupert Jones has directed many pop promos (for bands as The Streets, Gomez...). He has written some scripts for children's television, as well as 12 hours of storylines for an Anglo Indian soap-opera City of Dreams. The Sickie is his first short film in 35mm.
