Adam Stafford is from Falkirk, Central Scotland. He studied Film and Photography at Napier University. He is a musician and composer in the band Y'all is Fantasy Island. He also directed music video. In 2007 he toured with the author Alan Bissett providing musical accompaniment to Bissett's spoken readings. The Shutdown is an extension of that collaboration and Stafford's first film as a director, currently competing major film festivals internationally
