Elsa Rosengren
In Berlin today, a man smoking near his window. Two barmen in 19 th century Gothenburg wait for their last customer to leave. He is an old man who has recently attempted to commit suicide. One of the barmen feels sympathy for the old man, while the other is impatient to close up and go home.

Elsa Rosengren was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. After working on a boat, she began directing films while studying at the Rhode Island School of Design. In 2014, she settled in Berlin to study at the German Film & TV Academy Berlin (DFFB). Her graduation film, I Want to Return Return Return, selected by Premiers Plans in 2020, won the Cinefondation Third Prize. Elsa currently lives in Gothenburg where she is working on her first fiction feature Bitte leben.
