O'moro

Naples, Italy, the end of the fifties. A taciturn carabiniere called "O'Moro" (the Moor) by his boss, has to arrest the thieves in the city. One morning, at the harbour, he meets a gipsy woman who will change his destiny.

Christophe Calissoni is a 2D animator in various studios in Paris working on animated series, commercials, and advertising panels. He studied animation at Les Gobelins, then in Valence at la Poudrière. After various short films, personal essays and billboards, O'Moro is his first short produced under professional conditions. Eva Offredo is both a teacher of applied arts and an illustrator, working mainly in youth publishing, with Les Editions Gautier-Languerreau and Les Editions du Rouergue. She has also worked in advertising for the Japanese chocolate manufacturer Meiji (2007), and made drawings and illustrations for the press (Libération, Elle, Pomme d'Api soleil). O'moro is her first animated short.
