Clara and Opaline, twins who have grown up in the enchanted tropical forest, go into the town to look for their mother, Queen Fanta, who has disappeared.

L'Indigotier is a docufiction tinged with magic realism exploring a two-year workshop designed to revive an essential element of West African folklore. In collaboration with the African diaspora of Matongé, a dynamic neighbourhood in Brussels, the legendary tale of the true indigo tree and the twin sisters is brought into the present day. Using the collective nature of cinema, the reconstitution integrates the personal feelings, memories, and lives of the (non-professional) actresses. The past, the present, reality, fiction, magic, and the ordinary blend together in this dreamlike, indigo blue tapestry.
