Grzegorz Muskala was born in Poland in 1978. His family moved to Germany in 1981. He studied drama, cinema and television in Cologne from 1997 to 2001. He went on to study for a year at the national Polish school in Lodz (PWSFTviT) in the directing department. Since 2004 he has studied directing at the Berlin Film and Television Academy (DFFB). His previous film, Mein Vater Schläft, was selected last year for the Festival Premiers Plans.
