Margaret Constantas was born and raised in Cardiff in a Greek-cypriot family. She graduated in Art at Sheffield Hallam University, where she specialized in film-making. Back in Cardiff she took a MA in Fine Arts. Her graduation film, "Melancolia", received the Wales Film Council Award. She is currently working on a series of fairy tales.
