Born in 1997 and originally from Nantes, Morgane Simon moved to Belgium in 2015 to study animation at the Haute École Albert Jacquard (Heaj), before completing a Master’s degree at the École nationale supérieure des arts visuels de La Cambre in Brussels. In 2020, she joined the L’Enclume animation studio in Brussels to work on the feature film Yuku et la Fleur de l'Himalaya (Yuku and the Flower of the
Himalayas) by Rémi Durin and Arnaud Demuyck. She loves observational drawings, the human figure and background colours. Comics and music are also major sources of inspiration for her and play an essential role in her artistic work.
Born in 1966, Arnaud Demuynck is a Belgian director, scriptwriter and producer specialising in short and medium-length animated films. Since 2000, he has written and directed a number of animated films, including a choreographic trilogy with Signes de vie (2004), À l’ombre du voile (2006) and L’Évasion (Breakout) (2007). With Sous un coin de ciel bleu (2009), his writing shifted more towards young audiences, either by adapting traditional tales and rhymes or by bringing children’s books to the screen. His first animated feature, Yuku et la Fleur de l'Himalaya (Yuku and the Flower of the Himalayas), co-directed with Rémi Durin, was released in
2022.
