Georges has got writer's block. His encounter with unemployed Alois gives him material for the novel that he had been waiting for for a long time. Alois has the strange habit of bringing the people around him into absurd situations. Georges finds himself involved in a series of embarrassing events...

Born in 1968 in Vienna, Alexander Stecher went to the Vienna Film Academy in 2000 where he followed classes given by Michael Haneke and Wolfgang Glück. He has written and directed several short documentaries (Die weisse Linie - The white line, 2002; Flughafenfreunde - Airport friends, 2004) and short dramas (Menschenleben - Human worth, 2002; Entfernungen (Distances, 2006) and finally Das grosse glück sozusagen in 2008.
