He Wenchao, born in 1983, graduating from the Central Academy of Drama, Master director. She used to play a role in such films as Huayao Bride In Shangri-la and My Teaching Career and her first-directed experimental animation with black elements It's Your Turn winning the silver award of the First Sino-Korean Academy Film Festival. Her graduate work Summer, filmed in 2009, won the Best Dramatic Film Award in the 7th Global Chinese College Students' Film Festival and was selected in the Wide-angle Unit Asian Short Film Competition and the 14th Busan International Film Festival. Sweet Eighteen is her first feature film.
