Sprinters is an intimate and arresting portrayal of the frequently brutal world of top level athletics, revealing the mental and physical barriers confronted by the runners as they pursue their dreams, and a world in which agony, ecstasy, winning and losing are a daily reality.

Sam Blair is a documentary filmmaker based in London. After graduating in 2000, from Manchester Metropolitan University, he worked as a camera assistant and has gone on to become an accomplished editor, cameraman and director. Blair's first short film entitled Fish & Chips was screened at the Raindance Film Festival in 2003 and in 2006 he was accepted onto the Documentary Direction MA at the National Film and Television School, from where his graduation film Sprinters has been selected to play at festivals in Europe and South America.
