After a degree in modern literature and a year at ESAV, Laure Portier went to INSAS in Brussels, in the Image section. After graduating, she became assistant camera on fiction features. In 2019 she made her first short, Dans l'œil du chien (The Dig's Eye). Soy Libre is her first feature.
