Sonia is part of the Slovakian Rom community. She respects the traditions of her people, but this does not stop her from querying them and taking a position in relation to today's world.

Daniela Rusnoková was born in Bratislava in Solvakia in December 1980. She became interested in the Rom community through various photography and other projects during her training. In 2000 she joined the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, Faculty of Film and Television, in the Documentary department, graduating in 2006. She decided to continue her training by joining the post-doctoral programme.
