Jing was deaf since childhood, and her mother was awarded custody of her after divorce. The loneliness and birth defect brought about barriers in her communication, which kept eroding the young sprout in her inner heart all the time. Jing's parents brought her back to the town, and she was forced to live with her biological father Zhang Haoyang, who did not like his daughter at all. Zhang Haoyang had been courting a girl named Mei all this time. Soon after, Mei found herself pregnant. Zhang Haoyang was so excited that he took Mei home. From being strange and mutually exclusive to finding the intersection of emotion, the two girls changed each other.

Born on 16 July 1978 in Changsha, Hunan Province. He studied fine art with his father in his childhood. After he graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor degree in architectural in 2003, he changed his major into digital video for master degree and then joined the faculty. In 2010, he established Beijing Tiger Entertainment & Media CO.,LTD with friends and set to prepare for the shooting of his first feature film Song of Silence (Yang Mei Zhou).
