In the summer of 1926, 8-years old Pu spends his holidays with his family in the countryside. He is brought closer to his father, a pastor with a terrifying temper.

Born in Stockholm in 1962, Daniel Bergman began work as a projectionist at the age of 12. Between 1978 and 1986 he assisted various directors, including his father Ingmar Bergman and Andrej Tarkovski. He made his first short, "Agget" (The Egg), in 1987. He then worked for Swedish television.
