Sisters July and September are inseparable. July, the youngest, lives under the protection of her older sister. Their peculiar dynamic is a source of concern for their single mother, Sheela. When September is suspended from school, July is left to her own devices and begins to assert her independence. After a mysterious event, the three of them take refuge in a country house, but everything has changed...

A Franco-Greek actress and director born in Athens, Ariane Labed was a classical dancer before winning acting awards at the Venice Film Festival and at Premiers Plans for her very first screen appearance in Athina Rachel Tsangari’s Attenberg (2010). Since then, she has performed in Greece, in films by Yorgos Lanthimos, as well as in France and in English-language productions. In 2019, she directed the short film Olla, which was screened in the Directors’ Fortnight. In 2024, September Says was selected in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes.
