Sanzhyra
Nurbek Egen
Sanzhyra is a day in the life of a little boy who lives in a village in Kirghizstan. It's a very important day, both for him and the village, because it's the day he will becircumcised. At the same time excited, proud and frightened, the child not only becomes a Muslim, but also a "new person" by entering a new stage in life - not yet a man, but no longer a child.
