New Year's Eve in a grand hotel somewhere in Poland where a young service employee, who had planned on joining his fiancé, has to work overtime waiting on the director and his wife who have decided to eat in their room.

Emil Graffman, born in Stockholm in 1974, studied music and theatre before creating the theatre company Infernetto in 1995. He staged several August Strindberg plays with the company. In 1998, he went on to study directing at the National Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz. Roomservice is his graduation film.
