It has been 20 years since the Srebrenica genocide. In 2014, the remains of 174 dna- recognized victims were buried in Potocar. The youngest victim was a four-year-old boy. The remains of one man were found from four different locations. In the film, we can hear Zineta, who has to say goodbye to her son.
Markus Pellervo Leppälä is a 32-year-old filmmaker from Finland, graduated from Helsinki's Aalto film school. For the past couple of years, he has worked as a film editor in several documentaries, tv-series and different art projects. Road to Srebrenica is his first work as a documentary director.
