Wiola Sowa
Women of three generations are joined by common bonds and feelings. Their memories make a tangle of concealed emotions, which repeat like a refrain. When the youngest woman reaches maturity the memories return with the letter her grand mother left her.

Wiola Sowa was born in Gniezno, Poland, in 1972. Graduated from Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and by the studio of Animated film in 2000, she is a member of the Association of Polish Filmmakers, and the Association of creators of Animated and Experimental Film ‘Studio A'. Since 2005 she has run animated film workshops for children. Refreny is her first short film.
