At thirty, Simon struggles with life and its problems. He is divided between his job as a journalist at the Tabac Magazine, his girlfriend Christine with whom is trying unsuccessfully to have a child, and his friends Fabrice, Léa and Roché. So far as his family is concerned, he has some scores to settle with his psychiatrist father, and he takes special care of his grandmother, who is growing senile and making life impossible for those around her. An encounter with Claire, his young, pregnant neighbour whose husband has left her, gives his existence an unexpected turn...
