Image Pour ceux
Jean, a Frenchman of Armenian origin, returns home for the funeral of his cousin who died at the front during the second Nagorno-Karabakh war. Plunged into collective mourning, he finds it difficult to express his emotions to his family. Jean then realises that the after-effects of the violence continue long after the fighting has ended, leading him to discover the invisible scars left by the conflict.

Emile Parseghian comes from the south of France, and loves (in this order) American rap, the Olympique Lyonnais and films by Claire Denis. After studying production at La Fémis, he turned his attention to writing and directing, exploring themes of Franco-Armenian identity in a variety of formats.
After a Master's degree in screenwriting at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Mélina Pétrod initially turned to documentaries before going on film sets as a prop-maker. But she soon returned to her passion for scriptwriting, co-writing Pour ceux by Emile Parseghian. On the strength of this first collaboration, they embarked together on the writing of a second short film (Aux grands Hommes, la patrie) and a series (Salade, Tomate, Oignons). She currently divides her time between film sets and writing rooms and is developing her first short film (Au bord de nous).
