Momoko Seto was born in 1980 in Tokyo and studied at the école française in Tokyo. She then gained a Masters from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Marseille. Between 2006 and 2008 she had a residency at the prestigious Le Fresnoy school. She is currently working at the Réseau Asie (a unit of the CNRS – the French National Research Centre) as a director of documentary films. During her studies Momoko Seto made several shorts and documentaries which have been presented in a won awards in several international festivals.
