Yann Gozlan was born in 1977 in Aubervilliers. From 1999 until 2001, he made several short films on DV and Super 8 : La Chute and Extérieur nuit, both selected at the quirky " Silent Film Seeks Music " festival, Intérieur nuit, and La Fnac, a promotional film made for the department store of the same name. He then graduated from the Université de Paris VIII with a Master in Film and began working on Pellis, his first short fiction shot on film.
