Pek is a naïve unbalanced boy who sets out to make other people happy. However, the unorthodox methods he uses to achieve this goal are not appreciated by everybody.

Marco Knijnenburg was born in 1970 in The Hague. He graduated from the Netherlands Film and Television Academy en 2002. Apart from Pek, while there he made Ring and Meat in 1999, and First aid in 2000. His final-project film was Cavities.
