On the one hand, there is Pam, who dreams of other people’s lives rather than living her own. On the other, there is Manal, who travels to forget that she has nowhere else to go. And then there is their meeting one late summer evening in northern Italy.

Colombe Rubini is a graduate of ECAL. In 2019, she directed Sous les écailles, her graduation short film, selected by several festivals (Belfort, the Journées de Soleure, Côté Court, etc.). In 2020, she directed Répétitions, a documentary about two young orchestra conductors at the start of their careers, produced by Les Films du Worso, selected for the Filmer le travail festival where it won an award. Alongside her work as a director, Colombe Rubini works as a scriptwriter on short films. She is currently writing her next short film, Pam s’absente (SMAC productions, Barney production) and her feature-length documentary, Julien n’est plus seul, winner of the Scam’s brouillon d'un rêve grant, Jury Prize for Best Documentary Project and Audience
