Barnabas Toth was born in Strasbourg in 1977. As well as being a theatre actor he has, since the age of six, appeared in numerous Hungarian Feature films (notably Child Murders by Ildiko Szabo, 1993) However, after finishing his studies in Economy he found himself on the other side of the camera. In June 2004 he will graduate from Budapest's Acadamy of Cinema, where he has shot L'homme qui a été oublié, Fer Kii ne laisse rien au hazard and Egalisation. He earned an award at the Nisi Masa Script Writing Competition in 2002. On a Train is his first film since finishing his studies in Hungary.
