Olga Baillif was born in Geneva, Switzerland in 1969. She studied at the INSAS in Bruxelles from 1989 to 1993 in the Directing department. There she directed L'atelier in 1990, Une petite histoire in 1991, La vie courante in 1992, L'après-midi and Le loup et les architectes in 1993. Nuit de noces is her first post-graduation short fiction.
