Noée dans la tempête

Noée is 15 and she's hanging in there. All alone in her shell after her father's suicide attempt, she does not cry — but she does not understand either. One night, she meets Oscar, a boy from the island: he has the eyes and the colour of an escape.

Mathilde Chavanne studied at the Beaux Arts school of Besançon and at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. After getting her degree, she decided to work in a fire station for a few months. She then wrote her first self-produced short film, Quelque chose brûle (Something is Burning) in 2017. She then carried on directing, with two short films, Amour(s) (Love(s)), a documentary short, and Noée dans la tempête (Noée in the Storm), produced by Aurora Films. She currently lives and works in Paris.
