Desperate for money, Darek returns to his bleak hometown feigning success while trying to steal from his brother Jacek. Jacek works long hours in a sugar factory. He resents Darek for having left him to support a diabetic mother who's always favoured his brother. David Turner was born in 1964 in the United States. He studied in Japan and Spain before entering PWSFTviT. The films he directed as part of his studies (Wojtek in 1999, Sniezynka in 2000) have received attention at a number of festivals. Nie Mam, nie dam is his graduation film.
