Thomas Xhignesse and Juliette Klinke are from Belgium and from Switzerland respectively. They met while studying at the IAD and became close friends. During the first year of their Masters, they worked together in a workshop on co-writing and co-directing run by Benoit Mariage. The exercise was based on a naturalist writing and placed work with comedians at the heart of the process, which gave rise to the film Nelson.
