Ines Oliveira
Every year the Portuguese Army recruits thousands of citizens to constitute the National Military Service. They are given a Military Identification Number. At 10 p.m. the lights go off. "Hey! Are you awake ? Those guys are fucking you up, you hear me ? I mean, I don't know you man, but to me you're like a brother".

Inês Oliveira was born in 1976, Lisbon, the city where she now lives and works. She studied at Ar.Co (School of Fine Arts) and at the Cinema School (ESTC), specializing on sound. After school, she worked mainly on sound editing. O nome e o N.I.M. is her first short film, acclaimed as best short film at Vila do Conde Film Festival in 2003.
