Before going to war, a former military game designer made video game scenarios that prepared soldiers for cultural shocks, and that healed trauma. Once back from war, his relationship with his identity, with life, and with the video game, changed.

Antoine Chapon (1990) is an artist and filmmaker based in Paris (France). He studied Fine Arts, Philosophy and Social Studies. In 2019, he learned literary Arabic at the Saint-Joseph University in Beirut (Lebanon). In 2021 he is selected by Berlinale Talents. His works create dynamic links and tensions between cinema, CGI animations and archives. His first film My Own Landscapes (2020) won the Award for Best Short Film at Visions du Réel International Film Festival and the Award for Best Short Documentary at Norwegian Short Film Festival. The film was shown at many festivals such as Palm Springs Shortfest and Sundance Film Festival.
