Summer. 10-year-old Mika lives in the countryside with his family in difficult circumstances. His father is very ill and is unable to handle the daily work on the farm. Mika's help is needed. But he is easily distracted by his 6-year-old sister, who is still enjoying the carefree days of childhood, regarding the farm as her playground.

Grzegorz Muskala was born in Poland in 1978. His family moved in Germany in 1981. He studied drama, film and television sciences in Cologne from 1997 to 2001. From 2002 to 2003 he studied fiction and documentary directing at the national Polish film school (PWSFTviT) in Lodz. Since 2004 he has been studying directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin (dffb).
