In a Buddhist temple, the young monks are beginning their meditation when the master arrives. One of the children is distracted by a sparrow and follows the bird outside the monastery. Born in 1982, Rémi Durin is a French director and graduate of the Atelier de cinéma d’animation at ENSAV La Cambre. Since 2009, he has taught at the Albert Jacquard computer graphics school in Namur. After his student films Là-haut, Mademoiselle Chloé and Séquence 01 Plan 02, in 2006 he directed De si près, a moving evocation of the First World War, followed, for young audiences, by La Licorne in 2016 and Grand loup & Petit loup in 2018. With Arnaud Demuynck, he co-directed the musical Le Parfum de la carotte (The Scent of Carrots) (2014) and the feature Yuku et la Fleur de l'Himalaya (Yuku and the Flower of the Himalayas) (2017), released in cinemas in 2022.
