"Mirta learns statistics" is based on Graham Greene's short story "Driving in Country". One morning, a 17 year-old girl decides to run away from home. She abandons the comfortable life she enjoyed in her parent's home, leaves town, friends and school behind, to join Igor, the boy she loves. They plan to start a new life together.

Goran Dukic was born in Zagreb and is an undergraduate at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zagreb (Comparative literature and History of Arts). He is also a fourth year student at the Academy of Dramatic Arts (in Film and Television directing) in Zagreb.
