Metempsychosis of Objects
Salvador Maldonado

A massive block of stone sits in a studio where a sculptor struggles to give it form. The artist soon discovers a parallel studio and finds himself confronted with his future creation. Losing himself in his work, the lines between creator and creation vanish.

Salvador Maldonado studied graphic design in Venezuela, specializing in photography and the audiovisual field. After graduating, he worked in animation and editing at a Venezuelan production company. He moved to London in 1998, and worked in animation, production design and editing. In 2002, he made The Belly of the Whale, his first short film. Metempsychosis of Objects is his NFTS graduation film.
