After graduating high school, german-Argentinian Sophia Mocorrea trained as a media designer for image and sound, over the course of which she produced contributions for television. The development of the role of women between cultures, such as the image of reputed outsiders in our society, is the focal point of her works. During her directing studies at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf she was awarded with national and international scholarships to aid her cross-cultural research. Alongside writing her first feature film, she is currently finishing up her studies with her Diploma-Shortfilm Brautraub. Her first feature film in development Marriage by Abduction won the Talent Village Award at Les Arcs Industry Village 2021.
