Following the death of her grandmother, Marie is leaving her hometown. She's off to study philosophy and discover the world. She loses her virginity, becomes self-confident, and finally discovers her true vocation in life.

Sülbiye Verena Günar was born in Stuttgart in 1973. She studied music at the Stuttgart Conservatoire. In 1995 she enrolled at the Deutschen Film und Fernsehakademie Berlin (dffb) where she studies editing, directing and works as a production assistant. She is currently working on the script of her graduation film which will be her first feature film.
