Jeanne Herry was born in 1978. She started her career as an actress in Milou en mai (Milou in May) in 1989. After studying at the International School of Acting in London, she went to the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique in Paris in 1999. On leaving she was directed by Patrice Chéreau in Gabrielle in 2004, and went on to many other roles in the theatre and on the small screen. She also directed Stéphane Guillon's two one-man-shows, Petites horreurs entre amis in 2003 and En avant la musique in 2006, as well as a collection of poems for Jean Tardieu Monsieur-Monsieur en voyage in 2004. Jeanne Herry has several projects underway, a feature co-written with Béatrice Fournera Le Bon numéro and another co-written with Jean-Luc Gaget, Conquistador.
