Having directed several amateur videos, Anthony Brinig entered the ESAV, where he obtained his degree in directing. During this period he helped edit several documentaries and shot Safari XP, a short film on Super 16mm, which earned an award at the Moulin d'Andé writing workshop and was selected at Angers in 2003. Mains Libres is his first short fiction film since leaving film school.
